Mailcedar is built around the idea that email should be a quiet, dependable tool — not a place where someone is constantly trying to sell you things.
Three-column layout with a real keyboard. The reading pane uses your system font and a sensible line length. Threads collapse the way human conversations do. No infinite scroll, no chat panel, no AI badge pushing you to "summarize."
Sieve script editor — or click around the GUI if you prefer.
Aliases are the right way to use email. A different address for every site means you can disable the one that started getting spam, and you'll know exactly who leaked you. Free accounts get five. Plus and Pro accounts get unlimited.
Every alias lives at @mailcedar.com by default, or at any custom domain you've added. Forward to the same inbox, reply from the alias, or set per-alias signatures.

If you've owned yourname.ca for a decade, you shouldn't have to change your address to switch providers. Add the domain in Settings, follow the DNS instructions we generate, and within a few minutes you're receiving mail on it.
We handle SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. You can configure catch-all routing, sub-addressing, or strict per-account routing. Free domain alias for a year if you buy a new one through us.
Bring your domain in three steps:
Everything that should come with a real email account, served from the same place.
CalDAV-compatible. Subscribe from Apple Calendar, Thunderbird, or the Mailcedar web app. Invites and replies just work.
CardDAV with groups, custom fields, and an autocomplete that surfaces people you actually talk to.
Drag a file into a draft to attach. Files over 25 MB are uploaded and replaced with a 7-day expiring link. Recipient doesn't need an account.
TOTP, WebAuthn, and security keys. App passwords for IMAP clients that can't do 2FA. No SMS — it's not a real second factor anyway.
Tracking pixels are stripped before the message hits your inbox. The sender will never know you read it, unless you decide to tell them.
An actual dark theme, not a CSS filter slapped over the light one. Matches system preference by default.
